MyPath is an online tool designed to empower individuals to get the information and support they need to achieve their reproductive goals. My Birth Control, PCRHP’s contraceptive decision support tool, is embedded within MyPath.
MyPath can be used by any individual who could become pregnant, including those considering having children now or later and those who wish to avoid pregnancy. It supports users in considering their thoughts on pregnancy and children, and integrates information about fertility, health before pregnancy, and contraceptive options through My Birth Control. A new tool, MyPath Postpartum, is designed specifically for individuals who are pregnant or who have recently given birth. The tool offers information on sex and your body after having a baby, taking care of your health after delivery, and birth control.
MyPath was developed by a research team at the Veterans Health Administration (VA) and the University of Washington, led by Lisa Callegari, MD, MPH, in partnership with key collaborators including Christine Dehlendorf, MD, MAS (University of California-San Francisco), Sonya Borrero, MD, MS, (VA and University of Pittsburgh), Karin Nelson, MD, MSHS (VA and University of Washington), and David Arterburn, MD, MPH (Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute). MyPath is currently being evaluated in a clinical trial.
